Year 11 Students Celebrate Outstanding IGCSE Grades
(Sept 14, 2020)
Posted on Congratulations to our Year 11 students for achieving excellent IGCSE results this year. We are extremely proud of our students who achieved a well-deserved 100% pass rate, with 98% A* to C and 58% A*, and for demonstrating resilience and dedication to their studies during this challenging time.
The highest achieving students this year were Phoenix who received 8 A*s and an A, Sajeev who achieved 7 A*s and 3 As and Sean who received 6 A*s, among other grades.
Head of Secondary, Mr Rob said, “This has been a tough year and our Year 11 students have performed extremely well considering the Covid-19 pandemic. First the exams were cancelled and then the examination board was forced to reassess how it had calculated the grades and issue them a second time. This inevitably caused a great deal of stress to students and their families and we hope that they are now able to move on, being well-equipped.
Phoenix said “I was first disappointed when exams were cancelled. However, I’ve learnt that the exams aren’t everything, and what you do leading up to the exams counts for just as much. I would like to thank all my teachers and the staff of Knewton for all the help and support over the years.”
We celebrate the progress every student has made since joining the school and thank all our teachers who have nurtured students from the start of their education journey. As always, we remain grateful to out supportive community of parents.

Graduation Celebration for Year 6 Students
(July 17, 2020)
Posted on Year 6 students and their families were given a special celebration for their graduation at The Pullman Grand Ballroom on 17 July 2020.
Our proud international school students celebrated stepping up to a new stage in their education, with words from their parents and their teachers to inspire them into the adventure of secondary school!
With rapidly changing SOPs, the schools’ PTA team organised the party within four days. Parents Teacher Association (PTA) chairperson, Ms Michelle, said: “During these unprecedented times, we as parents decided to go ahead with the yearly tradition of a graduation party for the Year 6 students. We felt it was important to congratulate them and share the recognition of this milestone in their lives. As with the new normal, we had to improvise with what is allowed and safe for all.
“A beautiful venue with amazing views, delicious food, proud parents and 16 excited graduates contributed to a successful evening. Under strict SOP’s, The Pullman Grand Ballroom was the venue to this unforgettable event where we not only celebrated their achievements but we also had the chance to say farewell to our beloved Head of Primary, Mr Colin. It was surely a night to remember.”
Congratulations to all our Year 6 students!

Students Return Safely Back to School
(July 23, 2020)
Posted on We successfully reopened our campus for students under strict health and safety guidelines, after the closure of all schools in Malaysia on 18 March 2020.
It was wonderful to see our students back in school. We had a great start with parents adhering to the new traffic flow, dropping off their child while remaining in their car. On entry, every student has their temperature checked at the main foyer and their hands sanitised before they proceed to class.
These new procedures are our new normal and our utmost priority is our communities’ safety and wellbeing. Here are some important measures that we ensure our students adhere to:
1. Social distancing at least 1m apart.
2. Face mask on unless eating.
3. Hand hygiene – washing hands frequently with soap or hand sanitisers provided.
4. Temperature checks on arrival and checks throughout the day.
Year 10 student Alex, said, “I am happy and excited to come back to school because I can see my friends and interact with my teachers. The school is following the SOP rules very well because in our class we have separate tables and we are closely monitored by teachers to maintain a social distance at break time and we are not allowed to share food. We also have to wear mask throughout the day.”
Our Year 10 students returned to school on the 24 June followed by Early Years children on the 1 July. We have now welcomed back our Year 5 & 6, Standard 5 & 6 and Secondary from both International and Private National School.
It is very inspiring to see everyone back in school and adapting well showing positive difference, being a responsible Knewton Global Schools community. Well done everyone!
