As I arrived in school, before entering, every student has their temperature checked at the main foyer and their hands sanitized. It is the new normal now and the school is strictly following the SOP.

Bahasa Melayu: My first class for today is Bahasa Melayu lesson. We all had a quiz about proverbs, this was to develop our understanding on Malay proverbs. One of my favourite proverbs is, “hujan emas di negeri orang, hujan batu di negeri sendiri”, telling me that no matter how far a person goes, home is where the heart belongs. Another favourite proverb of mine is “harimau mati meninggalkan belang, manusia mati meninggalkan nama”, reflecting to me that we must always be cautious of what we do as it will impact our dignity.

After my wonderful morning break, we had Reka Bentuk dan Teknologi lesson, I’ve learnt how to sew and design face mask patterns for different wearers of different sizes. This enhanced my creativity!

Sejarah In Sejarah class, I’ve learnt about Islamic civilisation. Such as, Social Development, Intellectual Activity Centre and the Islamic Figures and their contribution to civilisation. I am astonished of how far we have evolved from the early civilisation and to where we are right now.

Lunch At lunch time, I had fried rice and it was scrumptious. Lunch time is also a great time to chat with my classmates to catch up with our assignments and projects.

English In English class, I’ve learnt how to do a compare and contrast essays on the environment of a school. How to categorise points according to their aspects and sum it up in an essay. This helps me to understand what it takes for a school to have conducive environment and even taught me to be grateful of what I have.

Geography During Geography class, we are taught about the types of places, patterns of settlements and the functions of towns and city in Malaysia. I find this topic very interesting because it shows the beauty of Malaysia that is often overlooked.

CCA – Scouts In Scouts CCA, I had a discussion with my teammates and teachers about what activities we can do in the future, such as a small outdoor cooking activity and many more. Scouts help teach me ways to survive in the wilderness, it also helps me in terms of self-discipline.

Going home: At 4:00 p.m, I packed my bags and went home. That was a day in the life of a Form 1.

Here is a photo of me and my friend Nurina when we had our school International Day celebration.
