Get to Know Knewton
Knewton Global Schools is about more than following your chosen curriculum and passing exams. It’s the support of the teachers, students and families, the opportunities outside the classroom and the buzzing environment, which all bring energy and ambition to our continuous learning culture.
Knewton offers a unique blend of tradition and modernity that you feel the moment you arrive. It has everything you’d expect at an international school and private school campus.
Curious minds are nurtured in the science labs, design and technology lab and library. A spark can be ignited in the music suites, art studio and creative and performing arts rooms. New strengths can be discovered on the sports pitches, courts or in the swimming pool. At break times students make use of the canteen and take a rest under the shelter of the wooden pondoks.
Knewton Global Schools benefits by being part of the Bonanza Educare group of schools and learning spaces across Malaysia.
The group was founded by an experienced team of educationalists and commercial operators, who developed the largest international and private schools group in Malaysia, Tenby Schools. The team sold Tenby Educare in 2016 but have always remained the landowners of the Miri campus and welcomed the school back into the group in August 2019.
We Always Knew!
This school has a great history that continues to be built upon. Originally it was known as Piasau Primary School and is recognised as the oldest international school in Malaysia. In 2011, it became Tenby Schools Miri, developing both a British international and Malaysian national curriculum. In 2020, it was rebranded to Knewton Global Schools.
