Bahasa Melayu: My first class for today is Bahasa Melayu lesson. We all had a quiz about proverbs, this was to develop our understanding on Malay proverbs. One of my favourite proverbs is, “hujan emas di negeri orang, hujan batu di negeri sendiri”, telling me that no matter how far a person goes, home is where the heart belongs. Another favourite proverb of mine is “harimau mati meninggalkan belang, manusia mati meninggalkan nama”, reflecting to me that we must always be cautious of what we do as it will impact our dignity.
