The school benefits by being part of the Bonanza Educare group of schools and learning spaces across Malaysia. Bonanza Educare was founded by an experienced team of committed educationalists and commercial operators who have worked together over many years. Together, the team developed the largest international and national schools group in Malaysia, Tenby Schools, which was sold in 2016. Having always remained the landowners of the purpose-built Miri campus, the team welcomed back the Miri campus into the group in August 2019.

The school has a great history that we all continue to build upon. Originally the school was known as Piasau Primary School, recognised as the oldest international school in Malaysia. In 2011, it became Tenby Schools, developing both a British international and Malaysian national curriculum on one united campus. In 2020 a new name will be created for the school to acknowledge the history and the importance of the local area.

A new refreshed image combined with an ambition to drive continual improvement of learning and provide the best opportunities for our young people to be the best they can be.

Our Facilities

Our campus is fully-enclosed with 24/7 security and a single point-of-entry, a 25m six-lane competition-standard swimming pool, basketball, netball and tennis courts and a full-size soccer field with smaller youth and instructional spaces.

The purpose-built Primary and Secondary blocks are linked by pedestrian boulevards, which also link the administration block with the student cafeteria, nurse’s office and sick bay, school shop, library and offices, and the Performing Arts block, which is home to Music classrooms and practice rooms, a Drama studio and Auditorium.

The Lower Primary block is composed of Early Years (Nursery & Reception) classrooms on the ground floor and Milepost 1 (Years 1 and 2) classrooms occupy the upper floor. Each Early Years class has an adjoining toilet and hand washing facilities as well as indoor / outdoor teaching and learning spaces. All rooms open onto teaching / learning activity areas for collaborative activities, displays and extensions to what occurs inside the classrooms.

The Upper Primary and Secondary block features thoughtfully-designed and fully-equipped classrooms as well as well-resourced Science laboratories, an Information and Computing Technology (“ICT”) room and a specialist Design and Technology (“DT”) room. It also has a large indoor teaching and learning space, and wide breezy passageways to take advantage of Senadin’s cooling breezes.
